West Ham United are yet to receive a permanent bid for Jean-Clair Todibo despite the defender remaining available this summer.
The France international has been expected to leave after a difficult end to last season, but the market has not yet produced a firm offer.
Claret & Hugh reports that no formal bid has been made for Todibo, with West Ham now facing the possibility of a sizeable loss if they sell.
That is a problem for Nuno Espirito Santo.
Todibo is not a low-cost squad player. West Ham initially signed him from Nice on loan before the move became permanent last summer, with OGC Nice confirming he had completed his permanent transfer at the end of the 2024/25 season.
West Ham also confirmed that the deal would become permanent on 1 July 2025 under the terms of the original agreement.
Todibo Exit Is Not Straightforward For West Ham
The latest update moves the story on from the earlier expectation that Todibo would simply leave.

Mirror Football reported in May that Todibo had refused to play after falling out with Nuno, while its X post also pushed the same claim.
That background weakens West Ham’s position.
If a player is clearly outside the manager’s plans, buying clubs know the selling club has a problem. If there is still no permanent bid, West Ham’s leverage becomes even thinner.
For Nuno, the cleaner football outcome is obvious. Todibo’s wages, status and damaged relationship make him difficult to carry into a Championship promotion campaign.
The financial outcome is much harder.
Selling too cheaply would crystallise a painful loss. Keeping him risks leaving an unwanted player on the books when West Ham need a tighter, more committed squad.
That is the no-bid reality facing the club.
Todibo may still leave this summer, but West Ham need the market to move before this becomes another transfer problem that slows Nuno’s rebuild.
