  • West Ham play Crystal Palace tonight at 8PM BST
  • The Eagles have a number of injury woes heading into the game
  • The Hammers are currently above the relegation zone

West Ham United head to Selhurst Park on Monday night in need of more points in their Premier League survival fight. The Hammers are coming off a big win over Wolverhampton Wanderers whilst Crystal Palace are also in high spirits after progressing in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

The Eagles are all but safe in the top flight but took some big blows midweek. Nuno Espirito Santo’s Hammers were hoping to take advantage of some tired legs and soar heads form the game in midweek.

With Tottenham Hotspur failing to win at the weekend, West Ham know a win on Monday night could see them four points clear of the relegation zone. Getting the win is far easier said than done, but the Eagles injury record had played into the Hammers hands before some good news for the opposition.

Crystal Palace get good injury news ahead of West Ham visit

Several players left the pitch early in Crystal Palace’s 2-1 loss to Fiorentina. Despite the score line on Thursday night, the Eagles progressed on aggregate and were allowed out on the town as promised. All of this played right into West Ham’s hands, or so they thought.

Maxence Lacroix was forced off in the game with his status being a big worry for Oliver Glasner’s team. Now, the central defender has been given the all clear to face the Hammers tonight in a boost for Crystal Palace and the Irons relegation rivals.

When Lacroix was replaced, Crystal Palace only had one central defender available so his recovery is hugely important to the team.

Elsewhere, Adam Wharton, who was also replaced in the first-half of the game, will likely miss tonight’s game. This news will calm the return of Lacroix as West Ham go in search of another much-needed three points.
