Keiber Lamadrid has outlined his ambition to earn a regular West Ham United role after completing a permanent move to east London. The Venezuela international started in midfield against Southend United and now wants to prove he can help Nuno Espírito Santo during the 2026/27 season.
Speaking to West Ham’s official website, Lamadrid said he wants to “grow as a person and as a player” after settling into life in England. The 22-year-old initially arrived on loan in January before West Ham secured his permanent transfer this summer.
Lamadrid made his senior debut in the FA Cup win at Burton Albion and scored on his first Premier League 2 appearance. He has since continued training with the first team and started the pre-season draw at Southend.

The midfielder described his style as dynamic and vertical, with an emphasis on quick combinations. He can operate centrally, out wide or at full-back, although he prefers an inside role where he can connect play and move the team forward.
His versatility could become useful as Nuno reshapes the squad. West Ham are close to agreeing a £42.5million sale of Crysencio Summerville, which would reduce the manager’s natural options on the left.
Lamadrid can play from that side, but West Ham should not place immediate pressure on a player with only one senior appearance in English football. Pre-season offers him an opportunity to earn further minutes and establish himself as a genuine first-team option.
Before moving to England, Lamadrid played 104 matches for Deportivo La Guaira, contributed directly to 21 goals and won two domestic trophies. He also became a senior Venezuela international in November 2025.
Lamadrid has made clear he wants to play regularly and help West Ham return to the top flight. Strong performances during pre-season could now give Nuno another young option before the Championship campaign begins.
