West Ham United may be in the midst of a relegation battle in the Premier League, but they have a number of stars out on loan in Europe and throughout the English football pyramid.

Seven of Nuno Espirito Santo’s Hammers are out on-loan.

Both Mason Terry and Ryan Battrum, making his debut, appeared for Braintree Town over the weekend. The National League side could not make up any ground in their survival fight as they lost 3-2 to Scunthorpe United.

Braintree have struggled for goals all season and for once, scoring twice was not enough for the team as Callum Roberts netted a 90th-minute penalty.

The young West Ham pair will have chance to change the team’s trajectory as Braintree take on Brackley Town tonight. Brackley sit just outside the relegation zone, three points above Braintree.

James Ward-Prowse played 78 minutes for Burnley in the Premier League. The midfielder was unable to stop the Clarets from falling closer to relegation losing 3-1 to Fulham, remaining ten points from safety and nine points behind West Ham.

In the Championship, George Earthy played 21 minutes for Bristol City as they lost 1-0 to West Bromwich Albion. The defeat is the Robins fifth in their last six games in all competitions.

Gerhard Struber’s team have now failed to scored in four of their last five games, slipping further away from the play-off places as the season comes to a close.

Kaelan Casey was on the bench for Leyton Orient as the League One side made it four wins in a row. Richie Wellens secured a 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers to move them further away from the relegation zone.

In Germany, Callum Marshall‘s VFL Bochum suffered their second league defeat since November on Sunday. Holstein Kiel, the side that were relegated with Bochum from the Bundesliga last season, twice came from behind to beat Marshall’s team 3-2.

Marshall made his fifth start under Uwe Rosler in the game but could not stop the German side from losing the game.

In Serie A, Niclas Fullkrug played 70 minutes as AC Milan beat Torino 3-2. The win sees the Rossoneri gain two points on their city rivals Inter, closing the gap to top spot down to six points.
