  • West Ham travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
  • West Ham can get out of the relegation zone with a win
  • Crysencio Summerville remains out with injury

West Ham United travel to Aston Villa looking for three points that would take them out of the Premier League’s bottom three. Nuno Espirito Santo’s team are coming off the back of a fighting 1-1 draw with Manchester City and will not want to let their momentum drop.

With Aston Villa coming off a midweek European fixture, West Ham will hope to make work of tired legs on Sunday afternoon. With Nottingham Forest playing Tottenham Hotspur at the same time, a good result would see the Hammers out of the relegation zone for the international break.

Here’s who we think will start the game tomorrow afternoon.

Mads Hermansen (GK)

Mads Hermansen retains his place in the team. Having just earned a call up to the Denmark side, the shot stopper is well in form.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

Aaron Wan-Bissaka also retains his place as West Ham return to a back four, looking to be more attacking in this game.

Axel Disasi (CB)

The French machine is untrappable at this point. Axel Disasi is one of the two central defenders for this game.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (CB)

The in-form Greek defender keeps his place. Konstantinos Mavropanos netted the equalizer last weekend and will be looking to keep up his form in this game.

Malick Diouf (LB)

El Hadji Malick Diouf stays in as West Ham‘s best left-sided option. Diouf has become integral to the defensive unit that is this team.

Mateus Fernandes (CDM)

Fresh of his first senior Portugal call up, Mateus Fernandes isn’t dropping out anytime soon.

Tomas Soucek (CDM)

Tomas Soucek has a big week coming up with his nation but will be looking to get West Ham through this huge game. Soucek has been one of the team’s most consistent performers and isn’t going anywhere.

Adama Traore (LW)

With West Ham reverting from a back three, Adama Traore returns to the side, taking Crysencio Summerville’s vacant position on the left-hand-side.

Pablo Felipe (CAM)

Since returning in the FA Cup win over Brentford, Pablo has slowly been getting better and better. His creative spark means he stays in as West Ham go for the win.

Jarrod Bowen (RW)

In the England squad and still in the West Ham team, captain Jarrod Bowen has to start every game for this team.

Valentin Castellanos (ST)

Despite constantly being starved of service, Valentin Castellanos continues to work as hard as anyone. He stays in the side.

Hermansen (GK); Wan-Bissaka; Mavropanos; Disasi; Diouf; Fernandes; Soucek; Traore; Pablo; Bowen; Castellanos
