West Ham United take on Brentford in the FA Cup tonight, with a place in the quarter finals at stake. The Hammers are one of the Premier League’s form team’s but face a Bees side that have excelled expectations this season, and are aiming for Europe.
With Nuno Espirito Santo’s team having an extreme focus on their league survival, the emphasis on momentum is key with West Ham needing to keep confidence high and results coming if they want to get out of their current position.
The Irons will be hoping that Brentford have an off night or their concentration is elsewhere allowing West Ham to get a strong result at the London Stadium tonight.
West Ham United’s FA Cup quarter final opponents
Should the Irons make it through tonight, they had a chance to face one of seven teams, with that team now decided.
In the hat for the next round are Chelsea, Port Vale, Southampton, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool or Leeds United.
Out of the hat came the Hammers and Brentford, meaning they would have to home tie, hosting fellow Premier League side Leeds United.
Should Nuno’s team get through, the tie with Leeds will be played on the weekend of 4th – 5th April.
