West Ham are reportedly ‘likely to make a move’ for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

The Hammers are still expected to sign a centre-back in the summer in order to bolster the position in the wake of a long-term injury suffered by Angelo Ogbonna.

The latest name on the radar is 24-year-old former England Under 19 youth international, Adarabioyo.

According to a report from Claret and Hugh, as previously cited by Ekrem KONUR on Twitter, the Irons are set to turn their attentions to the starlet.

The report claims that ‘talks are set to get underway’ with the ex-Manchester City academy man in the summer having been on the David Moyes shortlist for ‘several months’ now.

This season Adarabioyo – once described as having ‘all the attributes’ to play at the top level by Darragh Lenihan – has earned an outstanding 7.24 average Sofascore rating in 26 Championship outings.

READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Valued at £13.5million and under contract at Craven Cottage until 2023 (Transfermarkt), this summer would appear to be a pivotal one in the English defender’s career.

Seemingly on an unstoppable march towards promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, Adarabioyo could be a top-flight player once again in a matter of months.

However, West Ham in their current guise offers a much safer bet and even European football to a player once tipped for the very top.

Capable of playing across the defensive line and comfortable in possession, it’s clear to see why Moyes would be an admirer a swoop this summer would be welcomed.
