Lewis Jones backs West Ham to take the spoils this weekend

West Ham have been backed to take all three points away from Elland Road this weekend.

The Hammers head to Yorkshire full of confidence having made a strong start to the Premier League and in Europe recently.

David Moyes’ side also bounced straight back from a defeat with a hard-fought victory in the Carabao Cup in midweek against Manchester United.

Writing in his Sky Sports column, journalist Lewis Jones has backed the Irons to prevail over Leeds United on Saturday.

West Ham did the double over Leeds last season and are perfectly suited to beating a Marcelo Bielsa led team. Leeds can be exposed when faced with dominant teams from set plays and ones that counter-attack clinically. The Hammers excel in both departments and are begging to be backed for the away win here. This will be a bonkers encounter full of space and goalmouth action.

So far this season both the Hammers have been involved in 18 goals whilst and have been conceded 12 and scored five in just five league matches.

This certainly has all the makings of a classic.

Albeit Leeds have been badly hit by injury this week, the hosts are sure to put up their usual high-energy fight.

Fresh off the back of domestic and European endeavours, Moyes’ men will have to be well up for the challenge in order to come out on top.

The Scottish manager is likely to welcome Michail Antonio back into the fold after the 31-year-old missed both clashes with Manchester United.

matchday.
