West Ham are believed to be ‘eyeing up’ a move for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic this summer.

The Hammers are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements having not replaced Sebastien Haller after the Ivorian joined Ajax in January.

Irons boss David Moyes was forced to rely on Michail Antonio for the remainder of the season, leading to injury issues for the 31-year-old frontman.

According to a report from Eurosport, as cited on Twitter, West Ham could be about to set their sights on a new potential target.

The report claims Jovic is also attracting interest from Germany as the ace signed for £52.4million in 2019 (Sky Sports) looks for a way out of the Spanish capital.

Since making the switch, the man described as ‘magical’ by Lionel Messi, has scored twice and added two assists in 32 appearances for Los Blancos.

Jovic spent last season on loan back at Eintracht Frankfurt, netting four goals and registering two assists in 18 Bundesliga outings.

It would appear the 14 times capped Serbian international is in somewhat of a loose end in terms of a once-promising career.

Still just 23-years-old, there is certainly time to get things back on track and Moyes would no doubt relish the opportunity to work with the £18million valued striker (Transfermarkt).

Under contract until 2025 at the Bernabeu, signing Jovic would no doubt be an expensive outlay for the Irons, but one that could be worthwhile if the Serb can recapture his 17-goal form of 2018/19.
