Virals: Tomas Soucek predicts ‘big season’ ahead at West Ham

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek has shared a message with supporters on making a return to training this week.

The 26-year-old was granted extended leave following exploits with the Czech Republic in Euro 2020 and has now returned from holiday.

Clearly delighted to rejoin his Irons’ teammates for the final stretch of pre-season training, Soucek took to Twitter to welcome in the new campaign and admit what he is most excited by.

Last season, Soucek played a pivotal role in David Moyes’ side as the Hammers finished in sixth place and qualified for Europa League football in the process.

The 39-cap bulwark featured in all 38 Premier League games in 2020/21 and earned a remarkable 7.16 average Sofascore rating along the way.

There certainly is plenty to be excited over for all associated with West Ham as the new season fast approaches.

European football at the London Stadium on a Thursday night and fans back in situ after an arduous wait – Soucek will be receiving plenty of adulation for his performances in the coming months.

Now all Moyes needs is a few new arrivals to have a squad ready to match the excitement around the club.
