Virals: Reported West Ham target praises Said Benrahma on Twitter

West Ham forward Said Benrahma netted his first goal for the Hammers on Saturday night to earn a point against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 25-year-old made the scoreline 1-1 as the Irons continued their pursuit of European football for next season.

Since joining initially on loan at the start of the season from Brentford, the skilful ace had contributed five assists in 27 Premier League appearances prior to the clash at the American Express Community Stadium.

Reported target for David Moyes this summer and former teammate of Benrahma in west London, Rico Henry, took to Twitter after the goal to show continued admiration for the Algerian.

Henry will be in action tonight as the 23-year-old embarks on the Championship play-off semi-finals with a trip to Bournemouth.

This season the marauding left-back, who represented England at Under 20 level, has made 34 appearances across all competitions – registering two assists and one goal.

Moyes has been widely touted with a full-back pursuit at the end of the season as the Scot looks to find an understudy and ultimately a replacement for Aaron Cresswell.

Henry looks to be the ready-made fit with his attacking prowess and defensive strengths, not to mention the clear friendship that remains between himself and now-permanent Hammer, Benrahma.

As for the Algerian winger, Moyes will hope Saturday’s duck breaking strike will spark the ace into life in front of goal.

matchday.
