West Ham are planning to revive their efforts to sign Besiktas striker Cyle Larin this summer, having seen attempts in January rebuffed, according to Turkish outlet Sabah.
The report claims the Hammers have already offered €10m for the 25-year-old Canadian but a renewed interest this summer would see the Super Lig club demand €15m.
West Brom are also credited with holding an interest in the striker who has scored 16 goals in all competitions this season, however, their interest could end should they get relegated.
David Moyes will no doubt prioritise signing a forward this summer and Sabah say West Ham are ‘preparing to knock’ on Besiktas’ door again for Larin.
Capped 31 times by his nation, scoring eight goals, Larin is a proficient finisher both on the floor and aerially.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Since arriving in Europe from MLS side Orlando City SC in 2017/18, this season is by far his best in terms of goals and he has helped fire Besiktas level at the summit with Galatasaray.
However, prior to this term Larin’s record is rather underwhelming and despite the relatively affordable asking price, the Irons don’t want to be burdened with a non-goal scoring striker.
Certainly cause for concern were the Canadian to be the only signing.
