West Ham and Newcastle United have both have reportedly opened discussions with AS Monaco regarding the signing of Djibril Sidibe, according to reliable journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, cited by GFFN.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for the right-back in recent days, with Newcastle and Crystal Palace also keen on the World Cup winner.

The 26-year-old has been regarded as one of the best full-backs in France in recent years, turning out on a consistent basis for his current side.
Sidibe joined Monaco in 2016 from Lille and has made over 100 appearances for the club.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini currently has Ryan Fredericks and Pablo Zabaleta available to him at right-back, so a move could see Sidibe become the Hammers’ first choice ahead of the new season.
Previous reports suggested that Monaco would look to receive a fee in the region of €15 million for the defender, however, if both West Ham and Newcastle are extremely interested in the experienced right-back, the two clubs could end up in a bidding war for Sidibe’s signature.
