West Ham interested in Djibril Sidibe
West Ham United are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Djibril Sidibe from AS Monaco this summer.
According to claims from French news outlet L’Equipe, as cited in a report from GFFN, the Hammers have enquired about the possibility of signing the full-back ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Sidibe has long been regarded as one of Ligue 1’s best right-backs, and as such, he is no stranger to interest from across Europe.
The report claims that last summer, he was courted by La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, who were believed to have had a €25 million move in place. However, no transfer materialised, as the defender played out last season at Monaco.
Nevertheless, Sidibe could yet be on the move this time around, with West Ham understood to be pondering a bid.
Monaco are believed to be demanding a fee worth €15 million without bonuses taken into consideration, indicating that the Hammers may not need to break the bank to secure the 2018 World Cup winner.
