Inter Milan and West Ham set to battle for Edin Dzeko

West Ham United are set to rival Inter Milan for the signing of AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko, according to a report from Calciomercato

The Hammers have been linked with a move to sign the Bosnian forward in recent weeks, but new claims have indicated that Serie A giants Inter have entered the race.

Dzeko’s future at the Stadio Olimpico is in doubt, and it has recently emerged that Roma do not intend to hand him a new contract at the club.

The report from Calciomercato states that Claudio Ranieri’s side would be willing to part ways with the experienced forward for a fee worth between €15 million and €20 million.

It is also claimed that West Ham were ‘tempted’ to pursue a January deal for Dzeko, as the future of their star man Marko Arnautovic came under scrutiny.

Nevertheless, ahead of the summer transfer window, Manuel Pellegrini is understood to still be keen on reuniting with the former Manchester City attacker.
