Medel remains open to West Ham move
Besiktas midfielder Gary Medel remains keen on joining West Ham, according to claims from Turkey.
It is reported by Takvim, as translated by Sport Witness, that the experienced Chilean is determined to secure a move away from the Super Lig club as he seeks pastures new.
Medel was linked with a move to West Ham during the January transfer window, but no transfer materialised as Manuel Pellegrini oversaw a rather quiet month in terms of business.
However, the manager could yet see his compatriot arrive at the club in the summer should he get his wish of departing Besiktas at the next possible opportunity.
The Hammers were said to have been out to bolster their midfield options following long-term injuries to Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere early on in the season.
It is likely that the duo will return ahead of the next campaign, but Medel appears intent on offering his services to West Ham, with one year remaining on his current deal in Turkey.
