West Ham face Premier League competition for Brahimi
West Ham United could face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton in the race to sign Yacine Brahimi from FC Porto.
The Hammers are reportedly eyeing a move for the Algerian playmaker in the summer but could be rivalled by other clubs from the Premier League, according to claims from the Portuguese media.
Brahimi is currently nursing a minor injury, but his future at Porto has recently come under scrutiny ahead of the end of the campaign.
Correio da Manha, as translated by Sport Witness, has claimed that Wolves and Everton have made ‘proposals’ to sign the experienced winger ahead of the summer.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are reportedly in the race to recruit Brahimi, whose contract at Porto expires in the summer.
This would enable potential suitors to sign him on a free transfer, which appears to appeal to the likes of West Ham, Wolves and Everton.
Brahimi has found the net on nine occasions this season, contributing with a further six assists.
