West Ham have held talks with Diego Reyes as they look to beat the likes of Newcastle and Watford to his signature this summer.
As reported by the East London and West Essex Guardian, Reyes is a man in demand after leaving Porto.
The player is a free agent after his deal in Portugal expiring, with Premier League sides on red alert.
Reyes is also attracting interest from Spain with La Liga duo Real Betis and Sevilla pondering moves for the Mexican international.
Turkish side Fenerbahce are also said to be in the running to sign Reyes.
The report claims that the defender is currently weighing up his options and is likely to make a decision on his future within the next week.
The 25-year-old would be considered as quite the coup for any Premier League side, with international and Champions League experience under his belt.
