West Ham and Newcastle are said to be keen on adding Diego Reyes to their respective squads this summer.
According to claims from Sky Sports this evening, the central defender has emerged as a target for the Hammers as Manuel Pellegrini looks to add further quality to his options at the back.
West Ham have already signed Issa Diop to strengthen their central defence but following the long-term injury sustained by Winston Reid, it seems other alternatives are also being explored.
Reyes was a part of Mexico’s 23-man squad for the World Cup and has previously made in excess of 50 caps for his national team.
However, heading into the upcoming season, it seems Reyes is out to seek pastures new. His contract with FC Porto expired this summer and a host of clubs have since expressed an interest in signing him.
Fenerbahce are also in the race for Reyes, but it seems interest from the Premier League is building regarding a move for the 25-year-old.
