West Ham are closing in on the £2.5m signing of Palermo defender Achraf Lazaar this week, according to the London Evening Standard.
The Hammers have already signed 22-year-old Frenchman Arthur Masuaku from Olympiakos in a £6.2m deal this summer but remain interested in signing another fullback.
Lazaar has been on West Ham’s radar for some time and it now looks like a deal is nearing completion.

The Moroccan defender is also wanted by Roma and made 31 appearances for Palermo last season, scoring once. Lazaar has just one year left to run on his current contract and has agreed terms to a move to West Ham already.
Capper 14 times by Morocco. the 24-year-old is a left-back by trade but was frequently played at left midfield by his Serie A employers last season.
Record-signing Andre Ayew hobbled off with a thigh injury in last night’s defeat to Chelsea, joining Manuel Lanzini and Sofiane Feghouli in the physio room, while fellow attackers Gokhan Tore and Dimitri Payet are still working their way back to full fitness.
