Dortmund join West Ham in Ozyakup race

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have joined West Ham and Napoli in the race to sign Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup this summer.

According to Turkish source Milliyet, Dortmund want to make Ozyakup the third Turk in their squad alongside Nuri Sahin and newly-signed Emre Mor.

The 23-year-old is also wanted by Slaven Bilic who has stepped up his interest in signing the midfielder, as well as Napoli who are scouting him at Euro 2016.

It was also reported earlier this summer that the former Arsenal youth star has rejected a move to Serie A with Lazio because he wanted a move to the Premier League.

However, the 23-year-old midfielder has recently spoken about the speculation regarding his future and refused to rule out a move away from the Turkish champions this summer.

Now is not the time to talk about my future. I’m fully focused on the European Championship because it’s a big tournament for me. It’s not the right moment to talk about other clubs or moving anywhere. I am happy at my club but we will see after the European Championships what is going to happen next.

Ozyakup scored 10 goals and recorded 8 assists last season helping Besiktas win the Turkish Super Lig and it’s understood that the club value him at €20m as they have a fixed 25% sell-on clause with Arsenal.
