West Ham look set to compete with Tottenham and Liverpool for the signing of Havard Nordtveit from Borussia Monchengladbach.
According to Italian reports, Slaven Bilic’s side are keen on the Norweigan international, whose contract is coming to an end this summer.
The ex-Arsenal youth player, now 25-years-old, has attracted interest from Jürgen Klopp, however, as well as staff at White Hart Lane.
With the midfielder being available on a free transfer, his signature is obviously hot property.
It would also be wise not to rule out his current side attempting to sign him up to a new deal, either – another possibility in this transfer saga.
An announcement regarding Nordtveit’s future was expected this week, however that’s now been postponed until next. The reasons for that are unknown.
The ‘Gladbach man is a versatile player, able to play at centre-back as well as his favoured central midfield, and has made six appearances for the German side in this year’s Champions League.
At 6ft 2in, he’d also add some height into the midfield of any team that potentially become his new place of employment.
This rumour comes soon after the Hammers had been linked with another German-based player – Dominik Kohr.
He will cost suitors good money though, as he is contracted with Augsburg until 2019.
