West Ham Standing By To Make Hernandez Move

West Ham are waiting patiently to make a move to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United this summer.

The Mexican has been on the periphery of first-team action at Old Trafford the last two seasons, and was sent out on loan to Real Madrid last season, and scored nine goals and assisted nine times in 33 appearances in all competitions.

Renown for being a clutch goalscorer, Hernandez is currently the backup in place at United for Wayne Rooney following the sale of Robin van Persie, and also has 40 goals in 74 appearances for the Mexican national side.

Louis van Gaal has told interested clubs, including West Ham and Tottenham, that Hernandez is not for sale until they sign another striker this summer.

It’s believed that Chicharito can be had for £8m this summer when United recruit another forward, with the Hammers very keen on signing him to add to their forward options.

West Ham have reportedly made an offer for Hernandez already this summer, but Manchester United have yet to respond to it as they don’t know whether Hernandez will be needed this season. He has one year left on his contract with the club.
