West Ham are reported to be in talks with Roma, trying to sign Seydou Doumbia on a loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.
Discussions between the club and player have taken place, but it appears they have not yet been able to reach an agreement. Doumbia is interested in leaving Roma, but appears to be hoping for a permanent deal.
Watford are also interested in the player, but the West Ham move seems more likely as West Ham is seen as the more appealing destination.
West Ham have been busy in the market and are also interested in another Roma striker, Mattia Destro, however the 24 year old Italian has been in talks with Monaco and is awaiting interest from Fiorentina. The East-London club have also been interested in winger Paul-Georges Ntep, and a move for Angelo Ogbonna is close.
The Hammers are also widely expected to complete the loan signing of Al Jazira attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini. The 22-year-old Argentine will fly over for a medical later this week.
