West Ham are ‘one step away’ from completing a deal to sign defender Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus after they reportedly meet their demands for the player.
Tuttosport are reporting that the Hammers have submitted a bid worth €10m plus €2m is performance-based add ons, which Juventus are happy to accept.
However, the Turin-based club are not ready to confirm the deal yet, as they are awaiting a final offer from Everton for the Italian international, as they have yet to stop their pursuit of the player.
It was reported last week that West Ham were set to complete a deal to sign the 27-year-old, who will add some versatility and depth to the back line as Ogbonna can play at both centre and left-back.
The defender is deemed surplus to requirements at Juventus by manager Massimo Allegri as he is only the fourth choice at his position, and featured in only 26 games last season.
Ogbonna has said goodbye to his team-mates and has prepped himself for a flight into London to complete the move if given the green light.
West Ham have also made an improved €20m bid for Aymen Abdennour, but AS Monaco are holding out for €25m, which may be too rich for the Hammers as it would be a club record deal.
