West Ham are said to be close to signing Hoffenheim right-back Luis Advincula after agreeing a deal with the Bundesliga club, according to Libero.
The Hammers were in ‘advanced talks’ with Hoffenheim for his transfer last month, but it now seems like the deal is close to being completed.
Portuguese news outlet Record says that the Hammers, impressed by the player’s performances at the Copa America this summer with Peru, have opened talks with the Bundesliga side over a possible transfer.
The 25-year-old is made 27 appearances in all competitions on loan in Portugal last season, and the report claims that Advincula is set to leave as ‘the chances of Advíncula return [to Vitoria Setubal] are practically nil‘.
Vitoria Setubal narrowly avoided relegation from the Primeira Liga last season, and Advincula is said to want to take the next step as a player and not return for a second loan spell despite their interest.
