Liverpool are considering a move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, a reported West Ham target, claims the Express.
The 26-year-old is not wanted next season at United, with Louis van Gaal ready to offload the Mexican, who has only a year left on his contract.
A number of Premier League clubs are keen on signing Hernandez, including Stoke, Everton, Newcastle and Southampton, but now Liverpool are registering their interest in the player.
Hernandez spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, where he failed to make a big enough impact for the Spanish giants to make a permanent move for the player, but he is not short of suitors back in England.
West Ham are said to be interested in adding another striker to their forward options, due to the recurring injury problems to Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.
QPR’s Charlie Austin and Chelsea’s Loic Remy are both said to be targets for the club, but at the moment no move will be made until both clubs drop their asking prices for the strikers.
Inter Milan and Juventus are both also monitoring Hernandez’s situation.
