West Ham are said to be interested in making a loan move for AS Monaco forward Lucas Ocampos, according to a report in HITC.
The Hammers are said to be very interested in acquiring talented young players this summer, with Slaven Bilic reportedly keen on bringing the 20-year-old to Upton Park on loan with a view to buy.
The Argentine prospect is tipped for big things, but currently cannot break into the strong AS Monaco first-team, and was shipped out on loan to fellow Ligue 1 side Marseille last season for some regular game time.
It’s also being reported that Marseille want to bring him back on a season long loan, with talks ongoing.
Able to play on either wings or as a false nine, the versatile forward was seen as the next great talent to come out of Argentina whilst at River Plate, earning him a €15m to France and big spenders Monaco.
Ocampos played in 14 games for Marseille last season, but struggled to adapt to their style, only scoring two goals during his loan.
