Hammers Offer ‘Big’ Deal To Ayew

West Ham have offered impending free agent winger Andre Ayew a contract with the hope he snubs interest elsewhere.

It was widely reported that Serie A side AS Roma were leading the chase to sign the Marseille attacker on a free transfer, but now the Hammers have weighed in.

BBC sports reporter John Bennett has claimed that West Ham have made a ‘bigger’ offer than the Champions League side to Ayew.

The Ghanaian is also a reported target for Newcastle and Manchester United, but it now appears he’ll be choosing between the Irons and Roma.

Perhaps a big factor in his decision would be linking up with a former manager. Marcelo Bielsa may quit Marseille after a transfer dispute, and it’s not out of the question for him to want to bring in a player he’s familiar with.

The 25-year-old winger has been a stand-out performer for many seasons in Ligue 1 with Marseille, but wants to test himself on a bigger stage either in England or Italy.
