West Ham are reportedly closing in on agreeing a pre-contract deal with Andre-Pierre Gignac, claims the Metro.
The 29-year-old striker is a free agent at the end of the season, and has been a reported West Ham target for some time.
A French international, Gignac has netted 20 goals in 35 games in all competitions this season for Marseille, but it appears the Ligue 1 side have no interest in extending his contract beyond the end of the season.
Riddled with injuries on the forward line, the Hammers feel they need to add to their striking options in the summer if they are to push for a Top-6 finish next season.
Carlton Cole is expected to leave the club in the summer when his contract expires, and Modibo Maiga, on loan at FC Metz, has been told he has not future at West Ham.
West Ham will go into next season with Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll, who have all missed periods of the season through injury.
