Desperate to add pace to the forward line, West Ham are considering a move for Arsenal attacker Joel Campbell, reports the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old has been with the Gunners for nearly four seasons now, but has only made four league appearances in that time.
He failed to get a work permit to play in England following his move from Samprissa in 2011, so he spent the first three years of his Arsenal tenure out on loan to Ligue 1 side Lorient, La Liga outfit Real Betis, but most notably in the 2013/14 season, his efforts while playing for Olympiakos in the Champions league helped bring him into the national spotlight.
His form followed him to the 2014 World Cup, where he helped Costa Rica top their group, which included England, and into the Quarter Finals where they would ultimately exit, but it was said to be enough for Arsene Wenger to give him a chance in the Premier League.
Arsenal then signed Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, so opportunities for Campbell dried up, and was again sent out on loan in January to Villarreal as part of the deal to sign defender Gabriel Paulista.
TMW are also reporting that Serie A side Torino are keen on signing Campbell in the summer, who usually operates from a wide right position, but can play centrally in a forward three.
The report also claims that the Hammers are interested in signing another Arsenal player out on loan in Spain, winger Wellington Silva, currently at Almeria. Again, a right-sided player, the 22-year-old Brazillian has yet to break into the Arsenal first-team set up and could be let go in the summer.
