Last updated: 5 October 2026.

West Ham have received encouraging fitness developments before Friday’s meeting with QPR, with Manor Solomon returning to action and Konstantinos Mavropanos playing down his discomfort.

The Hammers host Queens Park Rangers at London Stadium on Friday 9 October, with kick-off at 8pm BST. Mohamadou Kanté is suspended, while Tomáš Souček has resumed match action following his injury absence.

Manor Solomon returns for Israel

Solomon came off the bench in Israel’s 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland on Sunday, replacing Liel Abada in the 71st minute.

His involvement followed reports of illness and back discomfort during the international window.

The appearance confirms he was available to play for Israel. His readiness to start against QPR remains a separate selection decision.

Mavropanos plays down discomfort

Mavropanos offered reassurance after his substitution during Greece’s goalless draw with Germany.

Asked about the discomfort, he said it was not significant and that he felt fine, according to Sport FM’s post-match reporting.

His assessment is encouraging, although it does not confirm his availability for West Ham’s next match.
