Soungoutou Magassa has dropped a cryptic hint over his West Ham United future as he attempts to force his way back into Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans.
The midfielder has been out of the first-team picture after pushing for a move away from London Stadium during the summer transfer window.
West Ham eventually rejected late approaches from Sevilla and Bologna, leaving Magassa in east London beyond the deadline. Read West Ham reported that Bologna’s proposal contained a conditional €17million obligation to buy.
Now there has been another intriguing development.
Magassa posts cryptic West Ham training message
Magassa has shared an image of himself back in West Ham training.
What really caught attention was the addition of the three wise monkeys emojis, commonly associated with “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”.
Hammers News reported the post on Sunday after Magassa had previously removed West Ham references from his social-media profile.
Quite what Magassa intends the message to mean remains unclear.
It would be wrong to suggest the social post confirms he has been fully reintegrated by Nuno.
But appearing back in West Ham training comes at an interesting time.

Fulham could reveal Magassa’s West Ham future
Tuesday night may tell us much more.
West Ham host Fulham in the Carabao Cup third round, and Nuno is expected to rotate before Saturday’s Championship trip to Millwall.
That creates an obvious opportunity for players who have been outside the regular league XI.
Magassa’s absence has been particularly notable because West Ham have already decided against allowing him to leave immediately.
Read West Ham subsequently reported that the club expect Magassa and Edson Alvarez to remain until at least January.
The 22-year-old remains contracted to West Ham until 2031, while the club’s official Magassa profile lists him as part of Nuno’s first-team squad.
The question is whether he can become part of the manager’s plans again.
Supporters can find the full broadcast information for Tuesday in our West Ham vs Fulham TV guide.
If Magassa appears in the squad, the door may not be completely closed.
If he misses out despite heavy rotation, his route back becomes considerably harder.
For now, his latest post ensures the spotlight will be firmly on Nuno’s team sheet.
