Ryan Reynolds has told Wrexham supporters to “buckle up” as the Welsh club prepare for Friday night’s Championship trip to West Ham United.
The Hollywood actor and Wrexham co-owner was discussing the wider 2026/27 campaign rather than specifically issuing a warning about West Ham.
However, his comments arrive immediately before Phil Parkinson takes his side to London Stadium for one of their toughest tests of the season.
Speaking on the latest episode of All Out Soccer, Reynolds said:
“Buckle up. You know, it’s always going to be that crazy ride.”
He went on to predict wins, defeats and difficult moments during another demanding Championship campaign.
Wrexham head to West Ham unbeaten in three
Wrexham have made a mixed start to the season but arrive in east London with improving momentum.
Parkinson’s side have taken seven points from their opening six Championship matches.
Their recent results are more encouraging.
A 3-0 victory away at Millwall was followed by a goalless draw at Swansea City and Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Burnley.
ReadWestHam has already examined Wrexham’s three-game unbeaten run before facing West Ham.
That sequence means the visitors have conceded only once across their last three league matches.
West Ham have momentum of their own
West Ham enter Friday’s game after three consecutive Championship victories.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side followed wins against Wolves and Derby County with Tuesday night’s dramatic 3-2 success at Bolton Wanderers.
The Hammers currently sit second in the Championship and can continue applying pressure at the top with another victory.
Friday’s game also carries some unusual history.
West Ham and Wrexham have not met competitively since 1997, while their last league meeting came more than four decades ago.
Our West Ham vs Wrexham head-to-head guide shows that Wrexham actually lead the overall competitive record between the clubs.
Reynolds may have been talking about Wrexham’s entire season when telling supporters to prepare for another unpredictable ride.
A Friday night under the lights at London Stadium should provide the next chapter.
