West Ham have issued a Millwall ticket warning to more than 50,000 season-ticket holders after introducing identity verification requirements for the London Stadium.
The process opened on Monday, 24 August, with supporters required to confirm their identity before the end of the 2026/27 season.
However, stricter arrangements apply to the home fixture against Millwall, which takes place in February.
The club says the requirement will help prevent away supporters from purchasing tickets in home sections.
West Ham Millwall ticket warning affects season-ticket holders
West Ham have opened verification to all remaining season-ticket holders, although supporters who completed the process last season will not need to repeat it.
Personal assistants of accessible season-ticket holders are also exempt at this stage.
Supporters completing the process will need their client reference number, valid identification and a mobile device with a camera. West Ham have also published an official step-by-step verification guide.
The scale of the rollout is considerable. ReadWestHam previously reported that the club sold more than 50,000 season tickets following relegation, underlining the number of supporters potentially affected.
West Ham say the checks will improve matchday safeguarding, protect supporter accounts and ensure they know who is attending the stadium.
The Millwall fixture carries particular significance because the clubs have not faced each other in the league since the 2011/12 season. The London Standard reports that West Ham travel to The Den in September before hosting the return fixture in February.
Supporters attending Tuesday’s Carabao Cup tie can also find the latest broadcast information in ReadWestHam’s Southampton v West Ham television guide.
For the Millwall home match, however, the message is clear: verification must be completed at least a fortnight beforehand.
