West Ham United have made a €4million offer for Kongsvinger winger Daniel Job as Nuno Espírito Santo looks to add further attacking depth to his squad, according to SportExpressen.
The Daniel Job West Ham transfer link has emerged late in the summer window, with the Hammers reportedly moving beyond interest by submitting a formal proposal for the 20-year-old.
Job has been one of the standout attacking players in Norway’s second tier this season and offers the pace and one-against-one ability West Ham have been searching for in wide areas.
Daniel Job West Ham transfer moves to €4m bid
SportExpressen report that West Ham have offered €4m for the Nigeria-born winger, who only joined Kongsvinger permanently from Sarpsborg 08 in February.
Kongsvinger’s official statistics show Job has started all 15 league matches this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists. The club list him primarily as a midfielder, while he has operated predominantly from the left flank.
His impact has been immediate.
When Kongsvinger announced his arrival, sporting director Espen Nystuen highlighted Job’s speed and ability in one-against-one situations, describing him as a young player with significant potential. Job himself said Kongsvinger’s attacking style suited his preference for dribbling, taking on defenders and using his pace to create chances.
Interest in the winger has been building. A local report in July said Job could eventually leave Kongsvinger for a club-record fee, although his focus at the time remained on his current side.
West Ham’s move also fits a clear recruitment need.
ReadWestHam highlighted the need for another attacking addition after the Reiss Nelson deal ran into trouble, with Nuno still short of natural wide options ahead of a demanding Championship season.
The club have already moved decisively elsewhere, with West Ham reaching a reported £22m agreement for Arne Engels on Friday.
Job would represent a different type of investment. At 20, his immediate numbers are impressive, but the attraction would also be his development potential and possible resale value.
For now, SportExpressen’s report points only to an offer rather than an agreement. Whether €4m is enough to convince Kongsvinger to sell one of their most productive players is the next stage to watch.
