West Ham could be back on course to sign Manor Solomon less than 24 hours after talks with Tottenham were reported to have collapsed.
Fresh reporting has reopened the Manor Solomon West Ham transfer saga, with an Israeli outlet claiming an agreement has now been finalised.
David Ornstein reported on Thursday that negotiations were off for financial reasons. West Ham were willing to pay around £5million but had not agreed to Tottenham’s requested bonuses if Nuno Espírito Santo’s side won promotion.
That appeared to leave Fiorentina with an opportunity to move ahead of the Hammers.
Manor Solomon West Ham transfer takes fresh turn
The situation may have changed quickly.
A fresh report from Ynet now claims Solomon’s move to West Ham has been finalised, with the overall package potentially rising to just under £10m if the Hammers return to the Premier League.
That would suggest the two clubs have found a compromise over the bonus structure which caused negotiations to stall.
There is reason for some caution, however. No official announcement has been made and, at the time of writing, the fresh agreement claim has not been matched by the leading UK sources which reported Thursday’s breakdown.
That makes this a significant development rather than confirmation of a completed transfer.
ReadWestHam reported on Thursday that Ornstein said the negotiations were off, with promotion-related bonuses understood to be a major sticking point.
Solomon would offer proven Championship production if an agreement has now been revived. He recorded 10 goals and 12 assists during Leeds United’s promotion-winning 2024/25 campaign and can operate from either flank.
For West Ham, the attraction is obvious after Crysencio Summerville’s departure.
The Manor Solomon West Ham transfer now requires further confirmation, but the latest claim represents a dramatic change from where negotiations appeared to stand on Thursday.
