West Ham United Women have secured Oona Siren’s future in east London. The extension runs until summer 2028 after the Finland midfielder signed a new two-year agreement.
The 25-year-old joined West Ham from Norwegian side LSK Kvinner in September 2024. She has since made 54 appearances across all competitions and developed into one of Rita Guarino’s most reliable players.
Siren featured 26 times during her first campaign before representing Finland at Euro 2025. She then started all 22 Women’s Super League matches in 2025/26 and played more minutes than any other West Ham player.
West Ham announced the agreement on Monday after an outstanding individual season. Siren won the women’s Hammer of the Year award and also collected Goal of the Season for her long-range volley against London City Lionesses.
The strike earned a 1-1 league draw and was also voted the WSL Goal of the Month for March.

Speaking to club media, Siren said remaining with West Ham was an easy decision because the club offers the right environment for her continued development.
Guarino praised Siren’s work ethic and her willingness to place the team first. The head coach also highlighted the midfielder’s less visible contributions during matches.
Before moving to England, Siren won consecutive Finnish league titles with KuPS. She also gained UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying experience before joining LSK Kvinner.
Her renewal adds important continuity during a busy summer for Guarino. West Ham have made several additions, while talks over outside investment in the women’s team have stalled.
Siren’s extension secures a dependable midfielder before the new season. Her availability, tactical discipline and consistency make her an important part of Guarino’s plans as the club aims to move further up the WSL table.
