Danny Dyer drops biggest Jarrod Bowen hint yet for West Ham

West Ham United have received their strongest indication yet that Jarrod Bowen intends to remain at the club following relegation.

Bowen has attracted interest from several Premier League sides this summer, with Aston Villa among the clubs linked with a move for the Hammers captain.

However, Danny Dyer has now suggested his son-in-law is preparing to stay and lead West Ham’s promotion push.

Speaking to talkSPORT at the charity event A Match for Emilee, Dyer said Bowen deserved Champions League football but appeared settled on his future.

“I don’t think he’s going anywhere,” Dyer said. “I think he will rip up the Championship, don’t you worry yourself about that.”

Bowen stay would transform West Ham mood

The comments are not formal confirmation from Bowen or West Ham.

However, Dyer’s close relationship with the player makes his confidence more significant than the usual transfer speculation.

Bowen had refused to discuss his future immediately after relegation. He later spoke of his desire to help the club return to the Premier League, while West Ham placed him prominently in their new kit campaign.

ReadWestHam has already argued that keeping Bowen would give Nuno Espírito Santo the foundation for a serious promotion push.

The 29-year-old remains under contract until 2030 and is West Ham’s captain, most reliable attacker and clearest dressing-room leader.

His departure would force the club to replace goals, creativity and authority at the same time.

West Ham have already sold Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham for £85m. Keeping Bowen would show supporters that the summer rebuild is not becoming a complete fire sale.

A final decision has not been announced, but Dyer’s comments offer genuine encouragement.

If Bowen stays, Nuno will begin the Championship season with the player most capable of driving West Ham back towards the Premier League.
