West Ham Add Abdul Fatawu To Transfer Watchlist

West Ham United have added Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu to their summer transfer watchlist.

Standard Sport reports that the Hammers are interested in the 22-year-old Ghana international as Nuno Espirito Santo assesses attacking options. West Ham’s forward line could change quickly, with Jarrod Bowen, Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes all sitting inside a volatile market.

The key detail is caution. Interest has not advanced yet, and Fatawu is still assessing his options before deciding his next step.

Fatawu Link Adds Replacement Logic To Nuno Rebuild

The profile makes sense for West Ham.

Fatawu produced nine goals and eight assists in 44 Championship games last season. He also gained fresh tournament exposure after featuring for Ghana in their goalless World Cup draw with England.

Leicester’s relegation issues could also create an opening. West Ham are looking for value while trying to rebuild a promotion-ready squad without drifting into late-window panic.

Read West Ham has already covered how Jarrod Bowen’s transfer interest has become a defining promotion decision. Fatawu would not replace Bowen’s authority, but he could give Nuno another direct wide option.

Summerville’s situation also matters. His World Cup visibility has strengthened West Ham’s hand, but Premier League interest remains a threat.

Sky Sports has also framed Fernandes as part of a major Manchester United and Tottenham race, with West Ham’s valuation still central to talks.

For Nuno, Fatawu would represent something practical rather than glamorous. He is young, direct and already tested in the Championship.

That makes him a logical watchlist name before West Ham’s attacking rebuild is forced by sales rather than shaped by planning.
