West Ham United are preparing for life in the Championship but know they need to sell players before they can begin to strengthen for the season ahead.
Daniel Kretinsky and the Gold family now have control over the club and are hoping that the number needed to be raised, can be made significantly smaller. The pair, more so Kretinsky, want to put the team in the best possible position to return to the Premier League this season.
Now West Ham are beginning to look at targets, with a number of players from the EFL already being looked at.
One player the Hammers could return for, is Parma and Japan goalkeeper, Zion Suzuki.
As reported by ExWHUEmployee, the Irons were in advanced talks to sign the 6’3 goalkeeper, but a deal failed to happen with the club then purchasing Mads Hermansen from Leicester City.
West Ham want Hermansen to stay and be the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, but his performances towards the end of the season has seen interest in the shot stopper rise, meaning he is another that could be sold.
With that in mind, the Hammers could look to make a return move for the player, should Hermansen leave.
Suzuki is currently at the World Cup with Japan. The Hammers will hope he does not fair too well if they want to secure his services this summer.
