West Ham United are making moves to buy land as the club looks to build a new training ground.
The Hammers had been on the hunt to do so in 2024, but ownership issues and costs got in the way, leading the plan to be shelved.
Now, with David Sullivan having no power at West Ham, the club are looking to purchase land this summer. According to ExWHUEmployee, the now Daniel Kretinsky led club could purchase land in Basildon this summer and begin building as soon as plans are passed.
The move continues to display the new ambition at the Irons with Sullivan further moving out of the picture.
There is no hiding that West Ham do need to sell this summer but Kretinsky and co are determined to put their hand in their pocket, and spend to get the club back to Premier League in a better position.
There is also hope that the number of players to leave the club will be lower than expected.
The initial figure showed that the team could sell up to nine players to raise up to £150 million this summer. The new Kretinsky ownership hopes that number will be less.
Crysencio Summerville, Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez are all Hammers players currently featuring at the 2026 World Cup that could be sold.
Summerville is the biggest name of the three, being one player who could command a significant fee.
