- Crysencio Summerville made his Netherlands debut last night
- The 24-year-old will now head to the World Cup
- West Ham will sell the winger this summer
West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville made his Netherlands debut last night ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The 24-year-old played 46 minutes as Ronald Koeman’s team lost 1-0 to Algeria in the first of two World Cup warm up games. Summerville started the game in what is his first senior appearance for his country.
The Hammers wide-man had his best season in for not only the Irons but in the Premier League last season. Whilst it was not enough to keep West Ham up, it has been enough to ignite a bidding war for the player and for him to earn his first international call up.

There was fears Summerville would miss out on the World Cup squad, suffering an injury just as Koeman stated he was thinking of brining the 24-year-old into his squad.
Despite registering just one goal involvement since returning from that injury, Summerville would receive the call, making his debut last night as he and the Dutch team prepare for this summer’s tournament.
For West Ham, this presents another opportunity for them to see Summerville’s price continue to rise. The Hammers winger will leave the London Stadium this window and with the club needing to raise £150 million, they want the highest price possible.
Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a move for the 26-year-old, alongside Serie A sides that include AS Roma.
Summerville’s departure is expected to coincide with a number of other players including Mateus Fernandes, who the Irons hope can fetch the biggest fee of all the players they sell this summer.
