- West Ham were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday afternoon
- The Hammers need to raise £150 million this summer
- Everton are targeting Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a cut-price deal
West Ham United were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. A 3-0 win over Leeds United was not enough to keep them in the top-flight, with Tottenham Hotspur beating Everton to send the Hammers into the Championship.
The fall into England’s second division will now spark a fire sale at the club, with West Ham needing to raise around £150 million, with more losses on their way due to the team’s performance on the pitch this season.
The likes of Mateus Fernandes, Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos are at the top of the list expected to leave the London Stadium, but there is likely to be more departures, for less money than the club would like.
Everton target Aaron Wan-Bissaka in cut price deal
Everton and former West Ham boss David Moyes are targeting a move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to the Telegraph, the Toffees see Wan-Bissaka as a solid option at full-back and believe they can get hold of the 28-year-old for just £10 million.
Wan-Bissaka has been at the Hammers for two years, after joining from the club from Manchester United. At first, he was deployed at wing-back, somewhere he flourished for a period of time.
This season, the full-back has been below par and ending the campaign behind Kyle Walker-Peters in the pecking order, playing 27 times for West Ham this season.
There will be many departures from the London Stadium this summer, but the first may not be as high-profile as first imagined.
