West Ham vs Arsenal Team News – No new injury issues for the Hammers

Share

West Ham United host Arsenal on Sunday afternoon in a huge game for both ends of he Premier League. The Gunners are chasing the title this season, whilst the Hammers are fighting to stay in the division and are just one point from safety.

Luckily for West Ham, boss Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed that there are no new injury woes for the game and that every member of the playing squad is good to go.

“Everybody is OK, which is good. It’s good for us that everyone is healthy.”

Nuno, alongside Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos were all nominated for Premier League awards in April but missed out to Manchester City‘s Pep Guardiola and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.

Further team news

Nuno could ring the changes in this game as he looks to get something from the champions-elect. West Ham managed to stifle Manchester City earlier in the year, using a five-at-the-back system, something the Hammers boss could return to.

The most likely candidate to drop out would be Pablo Felipe, who has been underwhelming recently, and see Jean-Clair Todibo return to the starting XI.

Kyle Walker-Peters will also likely keep his place. Aaron Wan-Bissaka came on for a cameo in last week’s defeat to Brentford but looked well off the pace, leaving Walker-Peters as the obvious choice.

There also could be change up top. Valentin Castellanos continues to miss chance and with the Everton match winner, Callum Wilson, sat on the bench, Nuno may have no choice with the points needed.
