- West Ham head to Brentford tomorrow
- The Hammers sit three points above the Premier League relegation zone
- Brentford are without a win in seven games
West Ham United head to Brentford tomorrow looking for another three points in the Premier League survival fight. The Hammers are coming off the back of a dramatic 2-1 win over Everton, but know they cannot let their momentum waver as they head into May.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team went unbeaten in the month of April, picking up seven points form three games. There have been several top performers for West Ham, but captain Jarrod Bowen is taking the headlines with four assists in his last three games.
Like the Hammers last opponents, Brentford are also chasing Europe this season. Unfortunately for Keith Andrews team, their superb season has hit some stumbling blocks, with the Bees going seven games without a win. It’s this form where West Ham will be looking to take advantage of, and extend that gap.
Here’s who we thin will start tomorrow afternoon.
Mads Hermansen (GK)
The Hammers number one shot stopper and that’s not changing anytime soon.
Malick Diouf (LB)
El Hadji Malick Diouf starts on the left-side of defence again. Had a really good game against Everton in all phases and was integral for West Ham’s winning goal.
Axel Disasi (CB)
Part of the Premier League’s most in-form defensive partnership, Axel Disasi starts again.
Konstantinos Mavropanos (CB)
Disasi’s partner, who is up for Player of the Month in the Premier League, Konstantinos Mavropanos is un-droppable for the Irons right now.
Kyle Walker-Peters (RB)
Kyle Walker-Peters continued his good form since returning to the team. The full-back looks right at home and keeps his place in the team.
Mateus Fernandes (CDM)
Class on the ball, Mateus Fernandes has had a quiet couple of games but still remains integral to everything West Ham do.
Tomas Soucek (CDM)
Tomas Soucek’s goal against Everton last weekend shows just what he brings to the team. Soucek will be so important over the next for games for the Irons.
Crysencio Summerville (LW)
Looking back to his best, Crysencio Summerville could have a breakout game on Saturday. The winger’s inside runs are becoming more potent week-on-week.
Adama Traore (CAM)
Pablo Felipe didn’t look himself last weekend and the Hammers can’t afford passengers in any game. Adama Traore returns to add some potency to the team.
Jarrod Bowen (RW)
Another up for Premier League Player of the Month, Jarrod Bowen stays in as he hunts for the top-flight West Ham assists record.
Callum Wilson (ST)
The debate on whether he is better off the bench will go on, but the Hammers need goals and Callum Wilson comes in for Valentin Castellanos who has gone two games without one.
