Team’s should only have their games change days on five occasion’s in the Premier League but West Ham are amongst four team’s to see that number exceeded. Some of it has been down to opponents playing in Europe but it is also down to the sheer number of games made available for broadcast this season.
With Sky Sports having a contract to fulfil, the Hammers have been victim of not only playing team’s post-a-midweek-European game but also playing team’s that the broadcaster deems as television worthy.
TV games to come for West Ham
West Ham will appear on TV this weekend, as they host Leeds United in the FA Cup, before returning to Premier League action where they will have two straight games on Sky Sports.
The Hammers host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday 10th April in a huge game in the relegation fight.
The Irons will then remain on Sky channels the following week, playing on Monday Night. That game will see Nuno’s team head to Crystal Palace, another massive game in the survival battle.
That should be the last of West Ham’s games move for television production but with the team playing Arsenal in the penultimate game, it would be no surprise if that matchup was moved with the Gunners in the title race.
West Ham will play Leeds United on the final day of the season, in a match that could decide who stays in the Premier League. This match cannot be moved but will most likely be selected for TV coverage.
