West Ham United are mentioned as one of the sides said to be interested in signing Germany international Robin Gosens.

That is according Sports Witness, who have relayed a report from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, which claims that the Hammers remain interested in signing Gosens, despite signing a left-back in Emerson Palmieri in the summer.

Amidst his lack of game time at Inter Milan, the London Stadium is mentioned as a potential destination for the £22million asset.

Golden Gosens

Having made his fair share of appearances in the Champions League with 23, Gosens is a golden-coated asset that brings both experience and technical excellence from the left flank.

Primarily a left-back, he is capable as a progressive wing-back in a back-three/five system.

It was from an advanced wing-back position that saw him garner an incredible 11 goals and six assists in 32 Serie A appearances for Atalanta, following on from another prosperous season that saw him grab nine goals and eight assists just the season prior.

The 28-year-old understands what it means to be a progressive defender and the Hammers should capitalise on his current circumstances in order to secure a longer-term upgrade on 32-year-old Aaron Cresswell.
