Virals: West Ham ‘poised to win the race’ to sign EFL star Joe Worrall

West Ham are reportedly ‘poised to win the race’ to sign Nottingham Forest central defender Joe Worrall.

The 25-year-old ace has been attracting plenty of attention and the Hammers have regularly been linked with a move.

Now a report from reputable West Ham source Claret & Hugh has claimed that David Moyes could be set to land his man in the summer.

The report states that left-back Emmanuel Longelo could be used as a makeweight in a deal to bring the three cap England Under 21 starlet to the London Stadium.

This season Worrall – hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Steven Gerrard – has earned an impressive 7.08 average Sofascore rating from 28 Championship outings.

Valued at £3.60million and under contract at the City Ground until 2024 (Transfermarkt), signing the Engish defender for a previously mooted £10million would be smart business.

Despite being inexperienced at the elite level, Worrall has amassed 216 appearances in a strong career to date.

Undoubtedly a Moyes style of defensive operator, signing the ace to strengthen the department alongside Craig Dawson, Issa Diop, Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna would make an abundance of sense.
