Virals: West Ham ‘fighting’ to sign Real Madrid star Isco

West Ham have been named among the clubs ‘fighting’ to sign Real Madrid star Isco.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave the La Liga leaders at the end of the season, bringing an end to a nine-year spell in the Spanish capital.

Among the suitors for the serial trophy winner are the Hammers, Inger Milan, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.

That’s according to a report from Fichajes, as cited by Milan Posts on Twitter.

The report claims that West Ham are ‘really interested’ in signing the 38-cap Spain ace and have contacted Real on ‘several occasions’ over the possibility of a move.

This season Isco – hailed as ‘fantastic‘ by Carlo Ancelotti – has scored twice in 14 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £8.1million and soon to be available as a free agent (Transfermarkt), bringing the decorated Spaniard to the London Stadium would still be regarded as a major coup.

Albeit the days of dictating terms from an attacking midfield position could be behind him, Isco remains a high-quality operator.

Untroubled by injuries and seemingly in need of a fresh start, East London could be the perfect destination for yet another out of sorts attacker to refind form.

Capable of playing in a variety of forward positions, David Moyes should be desperate to add the gifted star to the squad – especially were Manuel Lanzini to rekindle a desire to leave.
